ESG RATINGS

Sustainability ratings assess how companies deal with opportunities and risks in the area of ESG (environment, social, governance). Each rating agency has its own measurement methods, processes or weightings. VIG uses the results to further develop its sustainability agenda and strives for continuous rating improvement. The most important ESG ratings are listed below. These are provided for information purposes only and do not constitute a product or investment recommendation.

CDP

CDP is a non-profit organization that analyses climate-related information, risks and opportunities of companies according to an established methodology and discloses the results to stakeholders. In 2023, data from more than 23,000 companies was analyzed. This makes the CDP the largest database in this area worldwide. VIG was able to achieve a B- rating in the Climate Change Score 2023 within the 7-part rating scale (from A to D-). This score means that VIG is aware of the impact of its business on the environment and shows some evidence of active environmental management.

Sustainalytics

Sustainalytics’ ESG Risk Ratings provide a quantitative measure of unmanaged ESG risk measure. The result of the analysis consists of a quantitative score and a risk category. The ratings range from 0 - 10 points (negligible risk) to 40 points and above (severe risk). In August 2023, VIG achieved a score of 24.7 (medium risk). MSCI

ESG ratings from MSCI aim to measure a company's resilience to long-term, financially relevant ESG risks. MSCI evaluates company data in 35 key ESG topics and compares these with the performance within the industry. In December 2022, VIG received a rating of BBB (on a scale from AAA to CCC) in the MSCI ESG Ratings assessment.

VÖNIX

The first Austrian sustainability index VÖNIX - VBV Austrian Sustainability Index - is made up of those listed Austrian companies that are leaders in terms of social and environmental performance. VIG shares have been included in this index since mid-2005. The listing was preceded by an analysis process in which VIG achieved a rating of ba (on a scale of C- to A+).

ISS

ISS ESG Corporate Ratings assess the ability of companies to successfully manage specific ESG risks along the value chain and to take advantage of opportunities arising from transformation processes. In March 2023, VIG achieved a rating of C- (on a scale of A+ to D-), which expresses average ESG performance.
