Strategic goal of the department
This is where VIG's risk profile is identified, measured and evaluated. Based on this, the Managing Board is supported in risk management with recommendations and alternative courses of action. In addition, an important contribution is made to the annual rating process with Standard & Poor's. There is also a special focus on capital investment and the associated risks by centrally servicing the administration and risk management system to ensure uniform data and methods.
Core tasks:
To provide information bases that enable the Board of Management to increase the profitability of the company in a sustainable and risk-conscious manner as part of its management duties.
Daily Business:
- The "Risk Measurement and Methods" team provides a risk aggregation tool centrally, which is used to determine the solvency capital requirement.
- The "Risk Management and Monitoring" team monitors, analyzes and documents the risk profile of the VIG Group.
- The "Non-life" team is responsible for the application and further development of the internal model approved by the supervisory authorities in the non-life area.
- The "Scenario Generation" team creates economic scenarios for various currency areas, which form the basis for the actuarial models in the Group companies.
- The "Asset Risk Management" team is responsible for specific risk analyses of investments and the Group-wide operation of the necessary systems.

I have been with VIG since 2010 and have been intensively involved with VIG's risk management - this area is extensive and complex. VIG is just as varied as my field of work. Here, diversity is not just a buzzword, but a lived reality. I like the multicultural environment and am proud of my international team.

Key Qualifications

Degree in economics or mathematics
Financial or actuarial knowledge
Practical experience in risk management
Solution-oriented mindset and innovative spirit
Very good communication skills and presentation experience
Very good knowledge of English, knowledge of an Eastern European language would be an advantage
Very good IT skills, basic programming skills an advantage

I like to work in Group-wide risk management because implementing EU-wide directives is not enough for us. We support risk management in our companies in CEE and work together to find the best solutions for a stable and sustainable future for the Group.
