For me Investor Relations acts as a link between the capital market and the company, Our core mission is to provide all capital market participants with as realistic a picture of the Vienna Insurance Group as possible. Effective IR is marked by transparency and continuous dialogue with capital market participants. Communication is a two-way-street. From the company to the capital market, and from the capital market back to the company. An essential part of our job is to convey market expectations to the management and the specialist departments within the company.

Vienna Insurance Group is an international insurance group with a special focus on Central and Eastern Europe. and has been listed on the Vienna Stock exchange since 1994. Our proven business model and distinctive management principles, including for example local entrepreneurship and multi-brand policy, have made us a top player in CEE., setting us apart from other insurance groups of the region. One key feature of our equity story is, that the company consistently enables the shareholders to be a part of the company's success and has distributed a dividend every year since it first went public.

[Insert: You have been working in IR since 2005. How has IR changed over the years?]

Overall market trends also influence investor relations work. These new developments include digitalisation or sustainability and, from a regulatory perspective MiFID II provisions or the Shareholder Rights Directive. Over the last several years, online communication and social media clearly have taken on greater importance. In terms of content, we are currently seeing a shift away from traditional, purely financial key figures toward non-financial information on environmental, social and governmental aspects. As increasingly relevant ESG issues are being spotlighted more and more, they will decidedly shape communication with the capital market in the future.

Investor Relations ist a team effort. We are in close contact withall capital market participants to stay on top of the needs, expectations and issues, that the market deems important.We also communicate frequently with our many specialist departments in the company. It is only thanks to the support of our colleagues from the specialist departments and the management that we are able to provide the market with the broad spectrum of information it needs.
