"The Children Peace Image” of the Global Peace Photo Award

No bombs, no terror, no suffering: named after Alfred Hermann Fried, the Austrian-born winner of the 1911 Nobel Peace Prize, the Alfred Fried Photography Award was introduced in 2013 to honour photographers of all ages who capture the humane, tranquil and – as the accolade’s name suggests – peaceful sides of everyday life, as opposed to the raw and brutal images that fill the media today. Since 2017 VIG has sponsored the Award “The Children Peace Image of the Year”.

In 2020, the prize was renamed into "Global Peace Photo Award".

The Vienna Insurance Group promotes intercultural diversity and connections with a special focus on children and adolescents.
