BCG Gender Index - VIG in second place
The Vienna Insurance Group came second in the BCG Gender Diversity Index Austria 2018, which analyses the gender ratio in Austria's 50 largest listed companies. Together with Wolford, VIG has the most balanced gender ratio on the Management Board and Supervisory Board and the most similar pay for men and women in the ranking.
With 88.41 out of a possible 100 points, our Group was well above the average of 28 points and only missed the lead by a very thin margin (Wolford: 89.82 points). Nevertheless, we at VIG are pleased with the good result, because diversity is not only a success factor and but also a fundamental value for our company.
The study shows that almost 90 percent of Austrian board members are still exclusively male. In Austria's top 50 listed companies, there are a total of eight women on the Management Board - three of them in VIG alone (CEO Prof. Elisabeth Stadler, Mag. Liane Hirner und Dr. Judit Havasi).
