The Vienna Insurance Group was ranked first in the BCG Gender Diversity Index Austria 2019! This index analyses the gender ratio and equal pay in the Management Board and Supervisory Board of Austria's 50 largest listed companies.

In the previous year, VIG occupied second place. In 2019, however, VIG was clearly in the lead with 91 out of 100 possible points. The joy over this excellent result is all the greater because diversity is both a success factor and a core value for VIG.

The study shows that in the 50 largest listed companies, there are only three female CEOs, including VIG CEO Elisabeth Stadler. With a slight increase in the number of female board members by around two percentage points in 2019, only eight percent of Austrian board positions are still occupied by women (2018: six percent).
