Dieter Pscheidl

Dieter Pscheidl, Head of European Affairs & ESG:

“I am the third generation in my family working in insurance. In contrast to its general image insurance is very diverse as it covers all areas of life and business. During and following my studies of international business specializing in insurance at the Vienna University of Economics and Business I started my career with several insurance companies. For 12 years I served as the representative to the European Union of the Austrian Insurance Association (VVO). Along the way I passed the training and exam for insurance brokers.

Since January 2016 I am Head of European Affairs thus representing the communication interface between VIG and Brussels. Around 90 percent of our premium volume originate from the EU. Therefore we monitor regulatory developments from our own point of view and contribute on a casy-by-case basis to European decision-making processes. The range of topics covers many business  areas such as distribution, risk management or product lines. This makes my work both diversified and challenging.
