Balkan Case Challenge
The Vienna Insurance Group searches for the best students from South-East Europe
The Vienna Insurance Group searches for the best students from south-eastern Europe within the framework of the “Balkan Case Challenge”, which is held annually by the World University Service.
The Vienna Insurance Group is also heavily involved in south-eastern Europe. It is therefore very important to us to support a project of the World University Service (WUS): the “Balkan Case Challenge” (BCC).
The goal of the BCC is to present talented students from Albania, Austria, Bosnia-Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Croatia, Kosovo, Macedonia, Montenegro, Moldova, Romania, Serbia and Slovenia with new perspectives and opportunities. During their work on and presentation of realistic business cases, the students gain the attention of international, renowned companies such as the Vienna Insurance Group. And since our Group is always on the lookout for young talent with an international background and extensive linguistic abilities, we see the BCC as an important opportunity for our company to get into contact with young, talented people.
The BCC is open to all students from the above-listed countries. The prerequisites include a major or minor in the areas business, law, political science or engineering and an excellent academic performance.
Again this year, the Vienna Insurance Group will participate in the BCC, the finals of which will be held Vienna in July 2010. For this, previously selected students will work on a difficult business case and will present it to a high-calibre jury.
During this challenge, the Vienna Insurance Group will participate in the “Karrieretag Südosteuropa” (Career Day South-East Europe), which is held on 6 July at the Wirtschaftskammer Österreich (Austrian Federal Economic Chamber).
