CSR guiding principle

As an insurer, VIG promises to provide benefits for its customers in the future. In the case of life insurance and health insurance, this promise generally spans a period of several decades. Long-term, forward-looking thinking is therefore a key element of VIG’s core business and the 190-year history of the Company is one of the things that shows the Group has this foresight.

The Group also strives to combine its profit-making goals with social and environmental factors, and to help bring about a future worth living. These efforts are based on VIG’s values: credibility & integrity, entrepreneurial thinking & action, customer satisfaction & service quality, and appreciation & respect.

Since VIG feels that CSR concerns the Group as a whole, it is the responsibility of the Board of Management. A CSR Officer at the holding company level is responsible for coordination within the Group.
