VIG Kids Camp
Wiener Städtische Versicherungsverein has invited children of Group company employees’ to Austria for its seventh Kids Camp. About 500 children of Vienna Insurance Group employees from 23 different countries are attending Kids Camp 2016.
Entertainment and fun for 500 children
The youngsters, who come from Austria and Central and Eastern European countries including Bulgaria, Poland, Slovakia and Ukraine, had a choice of four camps: the City Camp in the Strebersdorf area of Vienna, the Country Camp in Wagrain in Salzburg, the Mountain Camp in the Styrian town of Mariazell and the Lake Camp in Seeboden in Carinthia. The two-week program covered everything from hiking and tours of breathtaking salt mines and limestone caves to sightseeing in Salzburg, Vienna and Klagenfurt – and also included plenty of opportunities for sports, games and swimming. Raising awareness from an early age
“At VIG Kids Camp, children from Austria, as well as the Central and Eastern European countries in which the Vienna Insurance Group is represented, are given a great chance to find out more about their parents’ international working environment and learn about diversity and multiculturalism,” explained Günter Geyer, Chairman of the Managing Board of Wiener Städtische Versicherungsverein. “Trips to retirement homes help to engender a strong sense of solidarity and social awareness – while helping to bring the different generations closer together.”
