Corporate Behaviour
Ethical values have been the basis for profitable management of the Company since its beginnings more than 180 years ago, and therefore are deeply rooted in the corporate culture of the Vienna Insurance Group. Diversity and individuality are seen as enriching, both for customer contact and internal cooperation, and make a key contribution to the continuous development and improvement of VIG products and internal processes. These considerations also extend to the important area of equal treatment for men and women in terms of remuneration and career opportunities. VIG therefore welcomes the creation of a legal framework for more income transparency as a positive step.

Through the expansion into Central and Eastern Europe and the resulting transnational cooperation within the Vienna Insurance Group, more and more international career opportunities are opening up for the Group’s employees. Corporate Volunteering
In 2011 employees of selected countries will have the opportunity to dedicate a paid working day to a social cause. With this measure, the Vienna Insurance Group is looking to provide support and assistance to all employees who are conscious of their social responsibility.
