Therese Larsson, VIG Marketing

“I grew up in Sweden, where I studied International Business Administration. After finishing my degree I moved to the UK and there I started my career within marketing. In 2010  I came to Vienna for professional reasons and in April 2012 I joined the Vienna Insurance Group. I’ve been within the Marketing team since it was set up at VIG Holding and I’m mainly focusing on online marketing. Besides questions concerning the website, exchanging know-how with the around 50 Group companies and coordinating international online marketing activities are also important parts of my job. I’ve been working abroad since 2007, and moving to VIG was a major step in my career. I enjoy the Group’s international orientation and its multi-brand strategy, which means VIG is represented under various brand names in the different markets.”

We kicked off this cooperation with an art tour in the Ringturm - to emphasize the networking and mutual introduction. Philippe Batka is, together with Barbara Grötschnig, responsible for the internal art collection. He guided the 25 interested visitors through the Ringturm while giving background information on the paintings and artists. Dieter Pscheidl, VIG European Affairs:

“I am the third generation in my family working in insurance. In contrast to its general image insurance is very diverse as it covers all areas of life and business. During and following my studies of international business specializing in insurance at the Vienna University of Economics and Business I started my career with several insurance companies. For 12 years I served as the representative to the European Union of the Austrian Insurance Association (VVO). Along the way I passed the training and exam for insurance brokers.

Since January 2016 I am Head of European Affairs thus representing the communication interface between VIG and Brussels. Around 90 percent of our premium volume originate from the EU. Therefore we monitor regulatory developments from our own point of view and contribute on a casy-by-case basis to European decision-making processes. The range of topics covers many business  areas such as distribution, risk management or product lines. This makes my work both diversified and challenging.
